Apex'i modding for Hants-mob..?
righty ho!
looks like we've got a real Apex'i fan club going on down here.
Can we all get our heads together and work out a date to start thinking about booking mr AndyF to do the business?
not so long ago he was booked up two months in advance.
Ive got most of my mods already in the garage waiting to go on, just need to fit breather mod and i/c/ waterspray so Im ready to go soon as.
I also want AndyF to set up my AVC-R.
how far away are you others from being ready for maps? Colin? Daren?
I will email Mike this evening to find out when he is back if we need a fourth.
in the words of "The Streets" - Lets push things forward
Andy
p.s. Dont tell Len will you, he will only be disappointed in me as I promised that I would keep it standard same as he!

Still got to order my Power FC, but I'm still definately interested in getting Andy to map mine and my AVC-R.
The next rolling road day could be interesting

Colin, will you be able to fit the avcr yourself?
and help me at the same time ?
Ive had a pm from AndyF that its a nifty to set up the avcr if its already installed.
He also said that we should carry out the breather mod (see other thread- barbeque at our place and us lads can mod the breather pipes to vent to atmos).
original thread years ago
I also have fuel pump and reg to fit (Lord only knows how I'll do that)
are you two getting the commander hand held unit as well, I am (on the cheap) and dont mind sharing if you guys want to save a few quid- I assume they are interchangeable and that AndyF could use the one commander to map all three/four ecu's?
we need to think about another RR day group buy for the xmas hols to suprise a few of the others
or a hants trip to the pod? ha ha ha ha ha

There is a few different commanders and the are not interchangable. I am getting 1, although not brilliant they are handy for monitoring whats going on with your engine and also good for any tuning at a later date, unless you have got a lap top which there is an excellent programme available from NZ which can take mapping the FC to a new level.
I will be fitting my AVC-R, haven't looked at the beather to atmos mod but then again I have got a oil catch can to fit
Great news Andy and John Banks have made an extra box to go with the FC that will allow us to run without a MAF No def price on cost but should be available early August.

Hi Guys You don't need an FC Commander for the mapping. I have the software on my laptop that allows a far wider adjustment remit.
The Commander is however a handy extra for monitoring engine things if that's what you like doing

Andy what are you doing looking in the Southern light weight section
Waiting for a reply from Greenline for a definate delivery date for my FC, once I know we can start to arrange a definate date to get you down sunny south ( get your shorts packed ) for a weekends mapping.

Ian,
got my ecu and commander unit second hand from a JDM99
very good price in my eyes.
I tried greenline.jp and I cant remember but it looked like about £700 worst case (vat, duty, couriers release fee etc)
I have two contacts that are mustard at getting second hand parts from Japan if its any help to you?
got my avcr from mlr (i know) brand new for £250
there is currently a group buy going on for £269 delivered to your door.
Im awaiting a response from Mike about his aspirations but he gave me the nod to go ahead and get the ecu for him (at the right price)
I think thats enough to justify AndyF's flight down here but we will need his confirmation.
cant wait!
Im sticking with sti5 TMIC (with full set of Samcos) and therefore hoping for a solid 300/300 if possible.
I am worried about the clutch though....

I could really do with a definate date set so that,
1, I can get my **** in gear and finish my last few mods.
2, I can book my summer holiday before my next snowboarding trip
