ok, who wants their gadgets tested.

The guy who does the testing for ukspeedtraps is staying in dartford briefly in august & has kindly offered to bring his equipment with him.
Details of the test are on the ukspeedtraps site under jammer tests.

He can only do it on sat. 28th august & would require a long safe straight road with easy turnings for the cars being tested. He has suggested london rd in stonewood (a226) unless anyone knows of somewhere better.

The normal charge is £40 but will do £30 for 5 or more.

If you miss out on this you will have to travel to burton on trent for the same test.

I'll probably be going to this test as i had a test done today by this guy and it looks like i have a little problem with my LRC-100, as this is a retest for me it won't be part of the group buy but i can recommend this guy as he is very thorough and helpful.

Yes the LRC-100 is blocking the laser gun but he can still get a reading of my speed about 50% of the time, he thinks the LRC-100 is faulty because it's not sending out a strong enough signal possibly because one of the diodes in the LRC-100 is faulty (anyway i think thats what he explained to me )

Yep, I'm up for that...should be getting my LRC-100 in t-Minus 9 hours! Hopefully it'll remotely open my garage door!

Coming up from Sandwich...I know it's a long way off, but if somebody (in SIDC/Kent group?) wants deepest Kent, then can thoroughly recommend the A257 between Sandwich and Wingham...v long open, safe single lane road, with lay-bys and visible junctions for turning...pretty quiet most of the time too....put it this way, night before leaving for Le Mans a few weeks ago, all I could hear were the hooners on their 'bikes screaming up and down (fantastic!)..was like being at the TT's!

Anyway, would travel to Essex no prob, just for piece-of-mind.

Im still in!

I have been trying to think of a road in the Dartford area that is quiet on a Saturday.

In my mind we we#ill not be speeding as the whole point will be to see if we can detect 'etc' ... Not to see at what speed that happens.

The ideal place would be an industrial complex, without any out-of-town superstores.

Blue Bell Hill Village (A229/M2 Jnct) and some of the roads off it would be good as it was a major road, but a by-pass was put in and only locals really use it.

As the old bill could be reading this (they normally do when looking for 'illegal gatherings', the best bet would be to decide on a location and email/PM people a couple days before.

This is what the guy would need..

The type of road that is good is long, 2000ft or more straight and flat.
It needs to have a safe off road parking position for the laser position
and an easy safe turning point at each end for the cars in the test.
Also since there could be a group of cars it needs to be a little
discreet as we don't want too much attention and some good parking for
the cars waiting for a test.

I will have a drive around when i get time & check out some areas.

Valid point about keeping low proflie, i will e-mail those interested when a suitable place is found.
