Always used to fill up at the big Shell garage on the Dome Roundabout in Watford but now it looks as though it's being knocked down or something. Having to use the one on Rickmansworth Road now but heard that the Shell has been moved over into Sainsburys at the Dome?! Haven't checked it out yet but does anyone know if this is true or not...???

Seeing as last time I looked, Sainsbury's had there own petrol station on that site?!?

Exactly but the guy in the Ricky Road Shell garage told me it had been moved there when I asked and also there are banners up on the railings around the old Shell site that have 'Sainsburys Local' in one corner and 'Shell' in the other. Which tends to back up what the guy says. Was just wondering if anyone could confirm it... I even asked if the Optimax is there and he said yes.

I can clear this up. Sainsburys have bought alot of the shell garages and are indeed turning these into Sainsbury Locals just as Tescos have done with many Esso garages. As far as I am aware they will still be using Shell petrol as again Tescos still use Esso fuel at their express sites. There is one of these Shell Locals in Marshallswick, St Albans and from what I remember they sell Shell fuel. It wouldn't make sense for them to have two sainburys petrol stations selling the same rubbish.

Well that would make sense then. So if I go to Sainsburys there I should be able to fill up with Shell Optimax still. Let us know how your surveilance mission goes tonight gutter-rat!!

Yep found another one on Holloway rd yesterday and the forcourt is still Shell its just the shop that has changed.

Went to the dome roundabout & there was no shell petrol in sainsburys.
It was still same old sainsbury's petrol only.
There wasn't any signs of it changing either

YOU CAN still use the Shell @ the dome M8

They have 4/5 pumps open for fuel

BTW it IS the CHEAPEST place to get Optimax anyway 85.9 and 3 miles up the road(St Albans) the robbing ***** are charging 89ppl

Should be back to normal in a month

Really how can you get in there I saw no cars in there and no access to get in either it was all fenced off...???
