go karting meet (hampshire)
Hi guys/girls. we are trying to organise a indoor karting event for sometime next month. it will take place at Go karting for fun at Gosport/fareham.
The format would be to have a team endurance race which consists of a race briefing, practice session and a 120 minute race including pit stops.
The price would be £150 per team and each team needs 5-6 drivers, so if your team has 5 drivers the cost would be £30 each.
The winning team is the one that has completed the most laps in the 120 min session and trophies and undrinkable sparkling wine(mmm) will be awarded to the top 3 teams.
Food and drink can be provided if need be as there is a café there (burgers, chips etc)
This invite is getting posted on the other owners club web sites and is open to anyone who has a modified/import car etc
.we think it would be a really good idea to get everyone together so we can see each others cars, have a chat/laugh and try out some of our driving skills without getting caught or crashing .lol
Weve had a good response from people so far (supras,gtos,skylines)but I cant book a date/time until I can gauge numbers so if you want to get a team together and come please let me know asap and hopefully we can get this sorted. it should be a good time.
Also if people interested could let me know wether they would prefer to do it at the weekend or a weekday evening that would be great.

er,
we did this last month, or the one before.
they let us have the whole track for 2hrs for £100 a team.
3 per team worked out a treat as you got a practice session and 30 odd mnutes kart-time.
see if they offer it again.

Get a deposit is the best advice because it was touch and go for a moment whether we would get the numbers to turn up. as it turned out with a few of the wives/gf's we just about made the numbers.

i worked there for 5 yrs so am trying to sort out a deal but at the mo the info ive posted is for a standard event.ill see what i can sort out.
if you guys can get together amongst your selves and sort out a team/s and list the names of the people then i can guage numbers a bit better.cheers

ten teams are required, each team consists of three or four, teams of three pay £33 each, teams of four obviously pay £25 each.
first place gets a bottle of fizzy dishwater and 2nd and third get a nice shiney medal.
it was brilliant, really brilliant.
I might have the info on group bookings at home but cant check yet as Im at work.

done a bit of a deal.
it will be a 2 hr event with 30 min practice for £130/team rather than £150 and if its on an evening tom who runs the place will more than likely let it run on for an extra 30 min or so.

this has been finalised and booked for friday 4th june.the event starts at 8 pm so everyone is aiming to be there between 7 and 7.30 to check out the motors.
i need you to post or e mail me (stevemerceruk@yahoo.com)a list of you team members FULL names asap so i can finalise team numbers etc.
a deposit of £50/team NEEDS to be payed to the track by the 8th may LATEST.
this can be done by going into the track or over the phone by c/card.

insidently the EVO boys recon they are gonna wipe the floor with everyone...yer right!!!

hi.terry b is sorting out numbers for the scooby team.you may want to get in contact with him,or do you have enough people to make a scooby team yourself?
i would like to point out that it really needs to be a team where all if not most of the members drive (and will hopefully bring) scoobies.if that is the case then 2 scoobie teams is fine.
can you post any info you have on here so we all know were we stand.cheers mate
