Hants convoy to Japfest 22/05/04
I know its a bit early to start posting for this but the sooner it gets started the more interest we can get (hopefully)
Meeting at Farlington services for the Portsmouth lot at 7.45am to leave by 8am then onto the 1st services on the A34 (Sutton Scotney,i think) to meet up with the Southampton lot (if that sounds ok,as the only services in southampton is rownhams).Looking to get to the A34 services at approx 8.45 to leave for 9am.Should take a further 90mins from there getting us to CC for about 10.30
Get your names down (and book the day off work if you work saturdays)

scooby-tc,
we normally meet at the Ower Services (Makky D's) and then go up through Salisbury and out to Castle Combe that way....

Sounds like a plan,Ower services then for a nice country road kinda route .I couldnt think of another route yesterday off the top of my head but thats a much better route

erm......................between 8 30 and 8 45 at a guess.We are aiming to leave Farlington services at 8 then its probably a 30 min drive to Ower at a sensible pace

Hi Guys,its only a week to go
Ive just noticed that the gates for the show open at 9am so im wondering what you think about a slight change of times.
Meet at Farlington services (for the Portsmouth lot) at 6 45am to leave by 7am,then on to Ower services to meet up with the Southampton lot at 7 30ish to leave by 7 45am giving us plenty of time to get there just as the gates open (or maybe a tad after).What do you think.

Hi Fatmanscooby,more than welcome to tag along more the merrier.We should be hitting salisbury around the 8am mark.As for the route im not sure ill be following Marklemac as hes our man with the map (so to speak).Im guessing we will be heading down the A36 into salisbury then heading out towards marlborough (sp?),im sure a route will be posted once all the details are in place

LOL its only an hour earlier,im sure she will understand .Also there is about 300 passes issued so im guessing it will be a bit of a struggle getting good spaces if we turn up later.Just a thought

Can't do 7.30 guys. Neither can Jas03WRX.
Best we could do is 8.30, so we will make our own way up there.
I wouldn't worry about the spaces, you have a ticket, it gets you in and parked. Had no problems last year arriving at 10.30 - loads of spaces

No worrys Marklemac we will meet you there. We are leaving at 7am because there are a lot more cars going than last year and trying to get a good parking space will prove more of a problem after 10 o clock if the santa pod meet was anything to go by.
Are all the portsmouth lot happy leaving Farlington at 7am to get there for 9am
If no one is meeting up at ower services then we will go directly to castle coombe from portsmouth
Fatmanscooby are you still up for meeting up Salisbury at around 8am? If not we will meet you there aswell.
