Best be careful who's watching......

It doesn't really concern us which route you choose to extract more performance from your Subaru. If you want to run 2 bar+ or use a mis-matched turbo spec by all means do. However, if you choose to go down this route you may be rebuilding the engine more often than you'd like to - and we're only interested in reliable horsepower.

So you're running in and mapping another engine - are you interested in using a decent turbo? Just kidding

oooohh touchy Chris just to add that it will only be 1.5 bar i will be using and that i will be making over 400lb/ft also

And it will be quicker too cos its lighter than those lardy STI's

Lets hope APS hurry along the 500bhp kit so you can add that to your car

Scott

So what Turbo is on it to make circa 400lbs - not the TD05/06 as this didnt produce 400lbs on that car at Star Performance on a 2.5 Litre and I would expect G Forces rollers to be more prudent..........

I would like to come myself, but I think I did some damage the other week by just changing to a less restrictive airfilter - the car is now running like a dog....and mis-firing the spark plugs must have gone with the extra heat caused by running leaner and at higher boost that the bigger filter allows

What Turbo's are there out there that will produce a comfortable 500bhp and over 400lbs with not huge amounts of lag? - presumably there is the Turbo Dynamics one, the Ion Turbo one and the APS one - anyone have any compressor flow maps on these???

Steve, been told by a little birdy that it could produce around 450lb/ft but i'm still to believe it myself, if it does great, if it don't it should be around 400lb/ft anyway. i think the other car may be playing down the torque figure on a 2.5 does'nt matter now anyway because the 05/06 won't be on there for too long now because i have the Omega Pistons & rods going in the 2.5. I've kept the standard crank so i will be limited to 500bhp, and i'm not going to go wild on turbo size!

Dont be so hurtful................to tuning companies.............. I'm sure that the company has sorted this out now...... it could happen to anyone - remember when Norris designs blew the engine towing a caravan

I hear that another Tuning company only ended up feathering the throttle as it was a customers car...... and they still obliterated the competition - how embarassing when your not even trying!!!!

450lbs on the td05/06 - now that I would like to see........ I think the words 'no chance' spring to mind - but if it does then great...but the turbo is too small surely........

I've now sorted my car out - seems it was running very lean................ may be entertaining friends on that day.............

If I can get on their by 12ish......then I will come???? so I can get back home.....but it will only produce a little more than last time..... maybe 430bhp

Put me down as a probably but will hopefully confirm in week or two. Have a nice new ECU to fit , just not sure it's going to be fitted in time, in which case nothing will have changed since end of Jan when I last ran at G-Force, in which case there will be no point in running again yet

Scott - Are you taking listings of spectators?

Daren't try and put my car on the rollers - the dyno couldn't keep up with my boost curve!

Chris (Aus73) - where are those printout's mate? I might as well collect them at this rate ........
