(( Rallye Sunseeker 2004 ))
http://www.rallyesunseeker.co.uk
This great event in Bournemouth - Friday and Saturday February 27 and 28 2004.
The opening round of the prestigious Kumho Tyres National Rally Championship. We are also pleased to host qualifying rounds of the Mitsubishi Evolution Challenge, the Peugeot TOTAL 206 Super Cup, the ACSMC/ASEMC Bigger Bites Multi-Venue Stage Rally Championship 2004, the ASWMC Plymouth Agencies Loose Surface Championship 2004 and the AEMC Stage Rally Championship, sponsored by BK Competition Tyres and Ward Construction.
For the sixth consecutive year we are delighted to welcome SUNSEEKER INTERNATIONAL as our event sponsor.
Of their continued involvement, John Braithwaite, Design and Technical Director of Sunseeker International, said “Rallye Sunseeker has been an important part of our events calendar for the last few years and has proved very successful in raising the profile the company, not only locally but within the motor sport environment as a whole. It’s a great day for drivers and spectators alike and we have clients in both camps. This year’s event should be one of the best and I wish the organisers and competitors the very best of luck.”
The organising clubs – Southern Car Club Ltd and Croydon & District Motor Club Ltd – extend their grateful thanks to Sunseeker International, Poole Audi and Audi UK, 22 Motorsport, Elliotthire, Sewards, Westover Group, Silverstone Rally School, CMP, Designer Sign Company, Showplace Hospitality, ARB, IMAX Cinemas, Tesco and Radical Radios – just some of our Marketing Partners for this year’s event. Without the generous support, help and co-operation of these organisations, it would be impossible to put on an event such as RALLYE SUNSEEKER.
For the first time, Rallye Sunseeker features a Friday-night section which will see competitors tackling two floodlit special stages which run through the Gardens, in the centre of Bournemouth, and out along the Promenade. Following an overnight halt, crews will resume at 08.15 on Saturday morning as they head out to stages in Wareham Forest, none of which has been used since the late 1990s, further forestry stages in and around Ringwood, interspersed with three visits to stages specifically designed with spectators in mind at Somerley Park.
The finish of the rally, with the traditional champagne spraying, will take place back in Bournemouth, adjacent to the Pier, where the first car is due to arrive at 6.00pm on the Saturday evening.

I'm thinking of going this year. Have wanted to go for a while now but work has always got in the way .
Have just been reading the website/ticket details. Can anyone clarify if the Rover Car park pass covers my car and all occupants, or do I need to get one per person?
Dyney - you heading down on the Saturday morning? Fancy a convoy?

Andy Splitter - Chris (the husband) and I are going our separate ways, which means I can't afford to run the Scoob on my Council wages + find somewhere to live, so Scooby has to go I'm afraid Still, I'm still planning on attending all the Scooby things - it'll only be a short-term measure!!
Andy ADP - Cool, you def. should bring the Rallye!! ...but then it might be sunny so the hairdresser mobile ( ) might be cool...I'll look out for you. I'm going with a load of Land Rover's, so should be pretty easy to spot!! Was going to take mine bu it's only right Scoob get's his final Rally outing

Jen....any definate plans?
Jen, Andy,
Have you got any definate plans for Saturday... times / stages (tickets ) Work is a little bonkers at the moment, so not 100% sure I can make it although I have missed this event for the past couple oy years and would like to get down there again. Last time I bought a ‘Rover ticket’ at the first forest stage I attended, so dont see tickets as a problem...
I may tag along if you are going from Southampton??

Hiya Stevie!
Tbh I haven't got a clue what I'm doing (no suprise there!! ) I'm tagging along with the Landy boy's and all I know is that I have to be at Ower Services at 7.45 on Saturday morning!
You're more than welcome to meet me there if you like, I'm planning on getting a Forest Rover ticket on the day but it's a bit of a pain as I have to be back in S'ton by 4pm at the latest as Rach and Mark are coming visiting and we have a party to attend in the evening... <sigh> life's so hard! So going to have to cut the day short - still, that's the plan IIRC...

Tony if you have last years prog it was called St Lonards run twice but each time they went they had to do two tours so if you went to both you saw them four times. Its run on part of MOD land which is why I think it's closed this year , possibly because some Afgans are entered in a 911!!!

John
PS I'll get my coat
