Hi all,
This event is organised by the 200sx Owners Club its is called the Top Speed Challenge but they also time your 1/4mile at speed at the 1/4 mile. As some of you will remember Scoobycity are usually invited to attend this event but after the hundreds of cars that attended last year it was in some doubt wether we would be invited again because they were simply running out of space. No need to fear though for we have been exclusivly given the go ahead to attend.
Last year saw over 200 cars (about 50 of them Scoobys) decend on the Airfield at RAF Woodbridge near Ipswich. Theres always some rather special cars to see such as the HKS Sumo 900bhp Skyline or the Norris 771bhp Evo. This year we should see an appearance of the famous Project X
A convoy will leave Copdock Tescos Ipswich @ 0830hrs and a drivers brief will take place @ 0930hrs @ Woodbridge. All runners will need to attend this drivers brief at this time.
There wil be a few changes ths year in the shape of crowd control barriers for spectators and a mobile burger van (no more long ques). Perhaps the biggest change is that we can now run a dual drag strip with christmas tree lights waahoo!!
Even if you don't want to run this venue will be used for a big Scooby meet so put your name down if you're coming and let us know if you plan to run or not.
We will be making a Scooby only DVD of the event and will hopefully get a camcorder INSIDE every car that runs aswell as the outside.
If you want to run you must get a cheque sent to Richie the organiser at the address below by the 29th of Feb but I understand spectators can pay on the gate.
When sending off cheques can you please enclose the following details:-
Full Name
BB Name
Car Type
Address
Please also mention Scoobycity.
Costs are £30 for runners and £10 to Spectate.

Hi Dal, Not exactly sure what time it finishes as we usually make a move about 4ish and they're still running. I would guess about 5.
As for how many runs well. The first time I went I done about 10. Last year was a few less cos there was alot more cars. If I were to quess how many cars i'd say about 70-80 but this year being double lanes I should imagine it'll run twice as fast. So it'll be very much a case of go up and run when you like.

I think i will be going to this one!
I have a mate in Colchester who is a moderator on the 200sx board, he asked me to go last year but i couldnt make it!
Think i will travel up to Colchester for the weekend to see my parents so i can then attend this on the Sunday!
I will put a cheque in the post tomorrow, so can someone put me down on the list as i will be running!

It was originally for 200sx's only, Scoobycity are only being invited because they've been going since the first one. I will ask for ya.
