After speaking to Dal yesterday, I'm arranging a pool competition in January for Sunday 11th at The American Pool Shack, Southend starting at midday.
The owner has kindly donated some free memberships a cue and free food for us as well (So Tiny your all right for grub
).
FFIC are going to organise trophies as well. As they have six tables we will be able to have several games at once. Drinks are reasonable as well.
Entrance fee will be £5 and there will be prize money for the winner and for the runner up. All those who reach the last four will receive free lifetime membership to the club.
Winner: Trophy, Prize Money, Cue, and Free Membership
Runner Up: Trophy, Prize Money and Free Membership
Winner of Semi final play off: Bottle of Wine and Free Membership
Also there will be a game of Killer for those unfortunate enough to be knocked out to win some money.Or Sky football on a mega screen if your bored

English 8 ball pool is the game and the main points to remember are as follows;
1) Order of play is determined by the flip of a coin. The winner of the flip deciding the order. If a deciding frame has to be played there will be another flip.
2) 3 ***** must be driven to cushions from the break if not the ***** will be re-racked and the oncoming player has 2 shots.
3) If the black is potted from the break the ***** are re-racked with no penalty and play shall re-start.
4) If a ball is legally potted from the break (and only the break)eg a red, the player may choose to stay on reds and carry on as normal. He/She can nominate yellows providing they pot a yellow on the next shot. If the ball is not potted the table will revert to an open table situation for the oncoming player.
5) After playing a shot one ball must touch the cushion, whether that is the white or an object ball. Otherwise it will be a foul and two visits.
6) The Black may be potted in any pocket without nomination.
7) No jump shots allowed

There wasn't one last year, Had a snooker comp though did not get around to getting to a winner, To much Beer!!
