East Kent Meets New Year

After purchasing my first scoobie this year in March Ive traveled Far and Wide to meet with offer scooby owners but never with any owners from down this neck of the woods.
Now I know there is dozens of owners within 10 miles of Margate alone that are up for a regular meet.
So in the new year can we get enough of us to arrange a monthly get together and try to arrange some cruises curry nights go-karting or just a pint and a chat.
Ive been to the children in need to Norwich, the southend possers cruise for the prezzie run. The essex crowd are a great bunch of lads and seem to have plenty going on but We need that down here.
So if your up for a meet in the new year get your name on the list and Ill get a date together and Venue for a meet in the later part of Jan.

Will be up for this mate Gonna be a laugh getting us on a kart track together and defo for the curry nights !!!!!

Got an imported classic, on a L, not tinkering with it as such just getting the thing too run properly,went to d,b engineering on saturday and apparently im only running on 3 injectors? at the mo,
its being a night mare, fitted a full decat hayward scot exhaust with 5in tail pipe, new plugs, new clutch, new rear pads,new power steering pump, but im running low on funds now just trying to find a garage to get this injection problem sorted, tried the one s.b said and they seen to know what i was on about, might have to take a trip up there saturday?
you got new graphics down the side of ya motor? thought i see you saturday by the clocktower? about 2 ish?

Also if youve got an import try barretts motorsport. Still part of barretts but not the main garage they do the rally cars

unfortunatly cant make fridays meet. Other things to do, trying to prep big dave wrx scoobie for respray next week. Its going to look the bol-ocks. Im hoping to finnish it for xmas. Have a good time and see you in new year. why your there see if anyone is up for some fun down this end of Kent . Tony

hows big daves spraying coming along mate, see it was in being base coated saturday. got me car booked in for the 5 th of jan, at walldonway, see what they can do with it, think i'll go for the gems ecu as well, like the sound off the anti lag

Hi Dave I finnished big daves car last night about 9-30. Hes g3ing the car today. Hope to have it ready for xmas. Still got to spray front bumper. If your going for a gems give me a shout and I,ll get a hold of Steve for you. Hope you get that problem sorted. We are open tomorrow and Tuesday. Wednesday just in for a drink with a few customers and staff pop in if you want.

car packed up today, it's undrivable, just coughs and splutters up the road, didnt even get me to work somethings packed up working because the volt meter was reading 12v now its reading 14? gonna have to get the AA to take it to walldonway for me now going to wait to see whats up with it before i order the gems ecu, just incase it costs me a fortune to get it running again. might pop in tommorrow if i get a chance.

nope wernt me mate, mines been in me drive since yesterday lunchtime, wont be going anywhere till jan 5th, but i did see a red classic about last night that i havent seen around before., yeah i mentioned the wheels to him saturday, as soon as i get me new ones, then he can take em off me hands.

I dont think anyones suggesting your meets are no good its just Kent is a large area and we are looking to get the locals within the east kent area to have a regular meet where we dont have to travel miles up the line.
The idea is to get owners more involved in meets and then prehaps once a month get a meet together for the whole of Kent. Ive not posted this thread up to stand on anyones toes just to get more people involved in this area.
You must agree we full somewhat behind other counties.
I hope we can work together on this and get Kent scooby owners more active.

Bodystyling - it was not you I have the problem with, it was Autocar The KentScoobies meets have been running for over a year now - I have 40+ members on my mailing list. I understand Kent is a large place, which is why we alternate between Bluewater & Maidstone to make it a bit fairer for those that have to travel that bit further. We have also recently started going to other counties once a month, usually for a Sunday lunch meet However, would you not agree that scooby ownership is about the enjoyment of driving the car, so it's nice to sometimes have to go that bit further
In January we will be going along to the Posers cruise, and the G-Force Rolling road day and in your neck of the woods for a Sunday lunch to check out a prospective site for 'Scooby Fest' 2004
