Hi Simon,
yep Lisa is coming along, someone needs to do the cooking
They can talk babies and we'll talk cars
2.30 at Sainsburys sounds fine.
Not sure if it is worth heading to Trurulefoot or not though.
Tris popped around yesterday and said he may be able to make it although he is working nights. We'll play it by ear.
Dale, I'm just taking a disposable, I think only disposables are allowed as per Phils first post, they are eaiser anyway.

Looking to arrange a meet at Widemouth Bay beach near Bude for a BBQ (disposables are allowed) and get some (more) sea air.
It's a great venue, spectacular coastline with walks etc, beach cafe, loos etc etc. Good bodyboarding/surfing too
So looking at a Sat or Sun in August - As August can be a bit hectic for most of us I'll throw it open to you to suggest some dates and whether we meet lunchtime or for an early evening bbq weather permitting! There is a local pub overlooking the sea if weather is not BBQ friendly.
My vote would be to aim for 4pm for say 6pm BBQ when it gets a bit quieter and include a nice little cruise around - we'll also have more chance to park all together at that time.
Let me know your thoughts - majority vote will rule.

Sounds good to me, Widemouth is a great beach.
I guess the weekend of the 16th is out as that's the Rallyday at Castle Combe weekend.

I´m certainly up for this too - will give me a chance to work on my tan a bit more
.... oh, did I mention I´m currently in Fuerteventura soaking up the sun

hi m8, the one you're thinking of is hotel break in October so well apart.
At the mo either the 9th or 10th Aug is looking best for the Widemouth BBQ

Obviously you can make a whole day of it in the area doing your own thing but we need a general meet time - I suggest 4.00pm, on the grassy car park area (to the left as you come in) for a chat, chill etc, bbq 5pm, maybe have a cruise (pose - no racing!) round, take it as it comes so to speak - totally up to you.
It WILL be mobbed if the weather is good so just park where you can and we'll regroup later for pics etc when it quietens down after 4pm (generally).
High tide is about 4pm that day but there will still be some sand left (!)or we can bbq on the grass overlooking the beach
For surfing dudes, mid to high is best so I'd say 12 onwards, subject to swell, wind etc.
How does that all sound - open to suggestions ...

Think we have enough votes now for SUNDAY 10th AUGUST
Meet from 4pm and aim for bbq at 5ish.
