Yeah use to play off a handicap of 12, but haven't played for about two years, after concentrating more on my rugby, and fitness. Use to play with a full set of callaway big berthas, think I have some old old clubs around, would be up for a round, be funny to see how bad I am now. Let me know time and detials.

Tiny,
I've been known to swing a club before, but really do not play much, three of four times a year max!!!!
Wouldn't mind a rtip out, assuming I'm not on the boat of course.
Mind you, on the golf course I'll just get action in the water rather than on it!!!
Let me know some dates.
Geoff

12 handicap here ... am def up for any golf days which may be organised. Essex Golf Course in Southend is good for a big game. Quite a challenging course. Would invite you all to play at Thorpe Hall (where I is a member) but it's £35 a round and I can only sign in 6 guests! Shame cos it's by far the best course in Essex

I believe there is a three year waiting list for membership still - reflection on the course quality. The car park is pretty impressive too - guy over there used to have a lambo which was the absolute nads!

Sounds like quite a good turn out, let me know time and dates, am going away on wednesday for three weeks, but after that I am free till I go back to uni, and would love a hack around a course somewhere. Found my clubs yesterday, still got the callaway bag, and my very old beast of a 1 wood the Killer Whale, but other than that they are all ****e, o except I kept my favorite callaway the lob wedge. Driver and lob wedge all the way round sounds good. As I said let me know dates and I'll be there as long as I am not on hols.

Going to be controversial here
Played Thorpe last year on a guest day and thought yes it was in good condition but not very challenging
FLAME SUIT ON
I'm up for it anyway
I played Celtic Manor last week now the Wentwood Hills Course is a killer

Phil ... It's all to do with your style of golf, I'm a long driver and thorpe's fairways are so narrow that if I go offcourse slightly I'm in the bundai, some people find Thorpe easy because they have a completely different approach to playing it. I bet your secretly a scratch golfer - trying to trick me into a big money game are ya!

No just a wind up
A loverly course really
I'm not a long driver indeed I don't use a Driver just my trusted 3 wood
As for my Handicap well I couldn't possibly say
I usually play at Channels in Chelmsford and they would welcome a Society day
I do enjoy Benton Hall though
We must have a blast down the M4 and play Celtic Manor though it is Monster

lol - a true player, "oh i'll tell you my handicap after the game"
Heard that the course you played Phil is like Boyce Hill but 5 times more challenging ... a course like that always makes playing the 19th so much more satisfying!

Boyce has got nothing on Wentwood Hills the word is awesome

I played in a Pro AM last year with Lucas Parsons prior to the Wales Open and was hoked on this course
The Hotel is also one of the best [My company did the Health Centre Fit Out]

If you guys are orgainising a game then count me in please.
Oh and as all the bandits seem to be out telling us what their handicaps are I will tell you mine .... I play two or three times a week and get up the drivin range alot and I play off 28 .....haha....if you believe that then you believe anything .......
Stapleford would be good, been a long long time since I had two shots on a hole ....haha.
Im up for it though people.
Oh and yes Celtic manor (wentwood hills) is the daddy of all courses. Shot an 82 there and was chuffed to bits.
Also played coldra woods there, the small par 3/4 course and was amazed to see people playing in jeans. What is that all about?

If only I was still that good, think I might have to get down the driving range at some point, try and get my swing back. Looking forward to having a laugh, see you all soon.

I'd be up for this, esp. if it's somewhere in Hampshire (Wickham would be good). Where's Benton Hall though? I know of Wickham Park and The Marriot (West Meon?), although I haven't played at the latter.
I play off [cough] 24 [/cough] but haven't played much recently so better make that 28 . Have only got <90 a couple of times but I find that sticking to the rules makes this extremely difficult!

Yep still here guy's guy's, This is proving to be a little harder to sort out than i first thought, But as the response has been good we need to carry on, Phil i'am waiting for details from Benton Hall Wickham Bishop's Essex,If you could perhaps get me some details from Channels then this would give us at least another option, Would we be able to get on there on a weekend or would it need to be a week day?
