Isn't it about time we had another Cambridge meet?
I'm getting withdrawal symptoms, since I missed the last one as I was on holiday.
Hows about next week sometime - Tuesday or Wednesday?

I should be ok for Tuesday. Hopefully Richard is over from Germany so maybe he can make it - any news Mark? I know Stan is keen to come along after his loooong absence .

Hello
Just mailed the Bitten and Twisted bloke so we'll see. I think he said the week after the Grand Prix so maybe next Tuesday will be OK.
Tuesday is good for me though I take it it will be at the Plough in Fen Ditton? I just hope some nice young girlies will be out rowing on the river in lycra

Bitten and Twisted
Yep, I'm around next week but only in Cambridge on Monday night. So any chance of making it Monday, 6pm onwards, at the usual place (Plough in Fen Ditton)?
I'll be heading on to meet other Cambridge friends at a local Pub Quiz night at about 8:30pm, but you're welcome to join us and make a Scoob(ish) team .
Otherwise I can't make Tuesday or Wednesday, sorry but it would be great to catch up on Monday if possible.
Cheers
Richard

Mark West: the food there is good pub food, big portions but not especially cheap. Normally nice though!
We sit outside, drink a few drinks, watch the nice lycra-clad girls rowing up and down the river (eh MarkC?) and just generally natter about Scoobs and life. All very civilised and pleasant! If it's wet, we just go inside as it's a big pub and there's plenty of space.
Come along and join us .
Richard

Directions to the Plough at Fen Ditton
From the A14 Eastbound come off at the Fen Ditton turn-off (B1047 I think) towards Cambridge. After a couple of miles, in the centre of Fen Ditton, turn right (the Blue Lion pub will be on your left as you do so). Follow the road down for about 100 yards, then bear right at the War Memorial. Follow the twisty tiny road round for another 200 yds or so. There will be a sharp left, and then a bit further up the pub is on the left while the road continues round a bend to the right. Great venue...
From the A14 Westbound, come off at the A1303 exit bearing left towards Cambridge. Keep going straight over traffic lights etc until you see a traffic light junction with a right hand turn signposted Fen Ditton (I think it has it's own filter lane). Go right up there, and about 1 mile up there turn left at the Blue Lion pub and follow directions as above.

I might possibly come along too - I haven't been along for a while. Any day is OK for me. Whether I come depends on how the work is going (writing up the PhD at the moment ). Sorry for being a bit crap - overworked, overstressed and underpaid!
Ben.
