Eagle 7 + the missus (does she know you call her that?)
Kinjai
Neil
Dave
Scoobdoo
Me
Anymore for anymore.
I'm sure we can do it again later in the year when others are back off holiday etc. This one could be a practice for the next one

Anyone fancy a trip down to the St Eval Karting circuit in July for a bit of a thrash around the track in 400cc Twin engined Pro-Karts?
Price is £35 for 30 mins (2 15 min sessions).
Karts are ; Pro-Kart, 2 * Honda GX200OHV, 400cc, max speed 70mph
I gave them a ring and as it's summer season they don't take bookings but if we arrive for when they open at 9.30AM we should all (depending on how many) be able to get on track together.
Now the hard bit, dates.
What about the Sats of July 19th or 26th, that should give you enough time to get time off for good behaivour
So who is up for the challenge then??

Hi Si,
Have a look HERE for directions.
We are going to aim at getting to the circuit for 9.30AM as they don't do bookings in the summer, but if we all get there for a the open time we should all get on track together. You can show us southern shandy drinking people how it's done Personally haven't been in a kart nevermind a twin engined 70mph monster since I was a little'n

Hi guys and girls,
I've sort of lost a bit of interest in cars lately and have been out of action for a couple of weeks and will be for the next few weeks too.
Did anyone see the white Sierra parked up on the side of the road near Crownhill? The one with no front end left.
I'll get you wondered with unlucky sod it ran into.
Well I can tell you - it was ME!!!!!!
Thankfully, no one was hurt. Even more fortunate the wife wasn't in the car - the back end is repairable, but I imagine if her waters broke that I might never get the seat clean!!
The car is a bit of a mess. At a first glance it looks just like the bumper needs replacing. However, look under the car or in the boot and you can see the full extent of the damage. As the car hit me it went under the back of my car, so all the damage is underneath. Even the exhaust is badly twisted and will need replacing (only a mere £795 + vat).
I suspect there may also be some damage to the rear suspension as the car is handling like a sack of spuds. When you inspect it there is nothing obvious and I suspose it could just be the rear geometry which is completely misaligned.
I also went into the car infront, but thankfully the damage at that end is really minor - couple of small scratches on the front bumper and a crack in the number plate. However, it does seem to have affected the anti-lift / anti-drop handling. There is also an annoying rattle from behind the dash - I reckon this could cause me more longterm annoyance then anything else!!!
Hopefully, the car will be going in this week to get repaired, but it will be gone for a couple of weeks.
I have tried posting some photos, but have not been succesful. If anyone is sadistic enough to want to see the fruits of the horror story I can e-mail them to you. Even better still, if anyone knows how to use a different uploader please let me know.
Hope you all have a great time enjoying the good weather. Just remember to drive safely and that at the end of the day no matter how much you love your car it is only a chunk of metal (with a touch of elbow grease and a large helping of pride).
Hope to see you all fairly soon.
Simon

Hi Guys,
Yep it's still a go for the 26th.
Shall we say meet at Trurulefoot roundabout (little Chef and Shell Petrol station) for the Plymouth lot at 8.15, leave 8.30AM.
We can meet Scooby_Si and Boro down at the track.
Boro I'm assuming you live further down in Cornwall?
Cheers,
Grahame.

Hey guys I can still make this, without car tho! I might be able to arrange something else tho, otherwise it will be with Springbok or the van!!
Still no news on the car, it was taken up to Star garage in Ply on Tuesday and they have been stacked out, so they haven`t had time to look at it yet. So extent of engine damage unknown. I am pretty sure it will be a replacement engine tho.
Not sure what caused it to loose, or drink so much oil, it doesn`t usually need oil from one service to the next and I only dipped it last month, but there`s hardly any in there now, as I have found out to my expense.
No warning lights at all, temperature was normal, just heard a slight ticking noise and pulled over. As soon as I slowed down, the engine just stopped and wouldn`t turn over, I realised straight away something major was wrong. RAC arrived and the engine turned over but didnt fire up, he confirmed that the engine was siezed, said I may get away with slight damage (new main bearings and a thrown conrod) anything more than that and it is just as cheap to put a new engine in there.
Many of you know that I worry about the longetivity of the engine in my car, and it has only been the last month that I have been able to calm my demons with the knocklink sensor, I just cant believe that the engine has died thru no fault of its own but down to not enuff TLC from me.
I am also sad to say that as soon as its repaired I will be selling it, I will pay out once for a rebuild, but not twice on the same car. If I keep it, all I will do is worry constantly and listen to every noise it makes, before long you would all be passing me shouting "bloody sunday drivers"
Not that I am relinquishing my fast car status, I am looking at another make of car (will I still be welcome at the meets in a, whisper it, TVR) I cant believe the the insurance is £250 per year cheaper on a 4.5ltr, V8, 420bhp, 190mph Cerbera.
Hopefully test driving two on Monday, the pussycat 360bhp speed six Cerbera, and the 420bhp speed eight Cerbera.
See you next week, and hopefully, let you know whats going on with the car.
Ps Springbok, this thread is turning into the tale of woe for Imprezas!!

Hey Tris,
So you are escaping the rice rocket then, I can see your point of view though, an engine blow out cann't be a nice thing to happen. You could always get an STi8.
You do realise the stick you will get if you go for a TVR, you aren't old enough yet mate, you need to be as old as Duracell for a TVR I'm no expert but TVR's aren't known for there reliability either mate.
Re Karting trip, no probs with a lift, let me know.
It does seem to be a thread of scooby whoes at the moment, lets not have anymore.
Cheers,
Grahame.
