PS They have the WRC cars on show this year!
I had a great time last year.
Sat 12th July
Copied from goodwood page:

World rallying
The latest contenders from top works teams like Ford, Subaru and Peugeot. Also, rallying greats from yore: fire-spitting 500bhp Group B cars of the 1980s, such as Audi's Sport Quattro, Lancia's Delta S4 and Peugeot's 205 T16; limited-production Group 4 chargers like the Lancia Stratos and Alpine-Renault A110; and 'standard saloons, sideways with spotlights' (from Allard P-type to Escort RS2000) representing the days before purpose-built homologation specials.

Nothing sorted yet! get on with it Mr D

As Tris says you could have mentioned Finland, we'd have kept you company
Ah well I guess I'll have to do with the sunshine and beaches of Cyprus and pop into the Troodos mountains for a bit of Rallying as well
I'm hiring a 4WD so keep an eye out for me on the Tele, reckon I should get a top 5 position

Saw you today Mr D going along the Embankment but was too late to wave or anything.

At least the beer will be cheaper at Castle Coombe than in Finland. Since they have the highest death rate from suicide and alcohol related diseases the poor buggers get taxed to the hilt. Think it is about £5 for a beer (nearly St Mellion prices!!!).

Could some kind sole please let me know the dates of all these shows. With a bit of notice I may be able to make some.

Anyone going to the Rally of Wales ( aka British Rally / Network Q) in November? The weather is usually a little more "exciting" than in Cyprus.
I've been the last three years and will definitely be going (providing my mate doesn't mind the wife and baby tagging along). The baby should be about 8 weeks old by then - a perfect age to be introduced to the world of rallying.

If we are not going to be able to sort out a BBQ, then how about another pub evening or a Sunday out somewhere?

Simon

I would LOVE to go to the finland WRC! Is there room in the Suitcase Colin. Goodwood festival of speed is from the 11-12-13 of July. I will be going up on Sat 12th July and staying in a Travel lodge overnight. Who else is going?
Its about a 4 hour drive to get up there, Goodwood is just past Portsmouth.

Finland....... that's been my life-long wish to see the WRC in Finland...... if only I had known sooner ...... suppose I'll have to make do with Castle Coombe in August instead

(oh no - just thought of several more wishes now )
