I didn't realise they'd ever stopped clamping down! On my regular jaunts along the M20, got quite used to seeing the vans on the bridges. Can also think of at least one scoobynetter that has got points leaving one of the meets. (probably on the M25 near Blackpool )
Can't complain about a new camera where there's been 7 major accidents in a year, that is exactly where they should be. Just need to justify about 95% of the other ones
Edit to translate into English.

I thought something was going on!
A new Truvelo infra red camera appeared during the week on the south bound A21 just before the Tonbridge turn off. Only ever seen that sort of camera before up north. Have also seen mobile units on bridges over the road!

m8 of mine thinks he got done yesterday on the M20 Maidstone area, the usual suspect grey Renault Kangoo van parked on the motorway bridge.
I posted a warning a few weeks back to keep your eyes peeled for an unmarked grey/blue Volvo C60...

Last night I saw a pale sliver/blue Volvo S70R parked up opposite the Oak Deen cafe at Wrotham (just before the M20 meets the M26) Reg was something like KG52*** but after my alcohol induced evening I've forgotten the rest of the reg...

Can you be a little bit more specific mate ? Which Tonbridge Turn off ? Morleys ? A26 Castle Hill, A26 Vauxhall Slip ?
Will go and have a nose tonight and see exactly where it is.
Nathan..
BTW not seen that unmarked car before.

I should add that there is due to be a camera installed on the A21 southbound between River Hill and Castle Hill this year. This is due to 7 very serious injury crahses and a couple of fatals last year alone.
I hadn't heard of it being a Truvello though.
Will go and look tonight.

The camera is on the south bound side just before the first of the south Tonbridge turn offs which is also the Southborough turn off. There are three big signs just before it so there is no reason to miss it.

Cos the accidents can only have been caused by speed and not dangerous and stupid driving.
Don't be too surprised if you see another camera soon on the Pembury by-pass near to the junction of Hastings Road. This is another serious crash blackspot.
I didn't get the chance to pop and see what camera it was last night I'll try and do it tomorrow evening.

Have to laugh at this quote from the Kent road camera site:
so that translates to "we will operate where we generate the most revenue"
buggers
Although our enforcement activity is concentrated at sites where speed related crashes are known to occur, from time to time we will operate at the following sites where speeding and its consequences has generated concern: etc etc
