Question

Im in Dorset - can anyone reccommend someplace that does, for example, a day's tuition in handling these fast cars?

Also, in the Bournemouth/Poole area, can anyone reccommend the best place to take my car for servicing?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Soulgirl,
Sorry can't help with the tuition, Chapelgate aren't bad for service, they're supposed to be giving up the Subaru franchise soon, no-one seems to know who's getting it, I use Vales in Yeovil, a bit of a trek, but they've got half a brain, for example, I'm getting my cambelt changed on thurs, just the belt, they're not doing the rest of the service, I onl;y wanted the belt done, so that all they're doing!
Why not come to the local meets, keep an eye on Southern for them.
Ron.

I rang the Parkstone garage place and he just seemed puzzled. Said he wouldn't do a service on an Impreza.

That's Triton, amazing price on a 60k service! mine is due before I sell it. (although its only on 45k)

Guess where mine is going for just over £200! Chapplegate wanted just shy of £500.

Ok,

Service done by Triton, pretty impressed (mainly with the price )

The guy there didn't seem massively enthusiastic, but pleasant all the same. Quite a few EVO rally cars there.

Would reccomend anyone to give them a try, half price service cant be bad! They pointed out a few things starting to wear etc...

don't know 'bout the cameras, but I suspect they would flash. How did you pass the MOT? what cat did you use?

Glen,

Did all the fluids, oil transmission, washer etc.. (except brake fluid?!) changed plugs, changed filters (except the K&N ) All the usual checks. Picked up a few things.

And...still had the same amount of fuel in the tank at the end!

Ready for sale now!

No Ron, the mobile camera has an infa-red flash

That bast camera has been all over Dorset, seen it on way to Yeovil at least 5 times this month, also Bear Cross, Badbury Rings, Cemetery Junction, Spur Road... gah ..

It's a rear facing camera with 2 infa-red flash units on either side, I was going to get out and teach it a lesson with my pick-axe handle, but plod or one of his representatives was watching it from a lay-by.

Shane,
that damn camera was on the other side of the road to me, not sure which way it was facing though.
Nothing in the post yet, it'll probably arrive tomorrow now I've said that!!

One of my colleagues got nicked twice in 7 days by the same camera in different spots and she got both her tickets in less than 3 days.

I'm fairly certain that if it's on the opposite side to you that your ok, it has to be on your side, pointing to the rear.

There's no info on any of the speedcam sites about this mobile tripod camera tho, so can't be certain.

I have been done by the evil roaming tripod camera in the last couple of weeks (Cemetry Junction)- it was a fair cop though. I've also spotted it in other areas around Bournemouth so BEWARE!

I too can recommend Triton Motor Services, just don't expect too much from the courtesy Metro!

I have seen it 5 times in the last week. They had it on the mini dual carrieageway from west howe post office to bearwood roundabout. I slammed the brakes on and then started warning everone else. Pissed the rozzers off im sure. Seen it in Wimborne and at Cemetry Junction twice too.

Time to get a jammer...

Question

Mark why are you selling the beast? Not seeing the huge benefits of running a slow old diesel in your old age are you?
