Great day & was rather surprised with my figures (was expecting less).
Oh well, at least i know work needs to be done to it. I'll have you next time Maffa (thats if i decide to keep the car) & cheers for organising.
Only bummer was i got a puncture & now need a whole set of tyres!!

By the time i got back my rear tyre was virtually flat!!
Got to the tyre centre & found the tyre was a gonner. At least i can consider getting Goddyear F1s. But Iain got the last set so all dealers are awaiting delivery from abroad

Thanks Maffa great day out even if it was cold all day.
Hmmm Decat next for me then its the 300 club hopefully
Clutch Spring Was Wibbles, He'd put a P1 cooler on the night before and hadnt tightend the bracket down
Oh how we all laughed at the cossie getting his keys locked in the car when showing his sound system off. not the best place to do it, in front of 25 scooby owners LOL

Yeah cheers for the great day. I was VERY shocked at mine considering we only sorted out the exhaust on thursday and ive had the car 5 weeks. lmao. Looking forward to the next one hopefully with a few more goodies
Lmao at the Cossie. Atleast the driver was joking about to. Top day.
BTW, i want to get an accurate reading on my exhaust. We roughly measured it to 118DB

That was hilarious I saw everyone (including Tim) around his car & I wondered what was going on? When I found out he'd locked the keys in there I laughed.
Apparently because of his autolock he's done it about 4 times before but he didn't think to switch it off He was a good lad though & took all the abuse & pi$$ taking as a bit of a laugh His insurance was silly. 24yrs old on a cossie, just over £2k!!!!! He must live at home still
BTW did anyone find out why it was churning out all that blue smoke? Could have been something very expensive so Alex (Dr Evil) said but I never found out?
Glad you all had a good day.

Maffa, thanks for arranging the day, it was well organised, and from as far as I could see, good fun for everybody. Especially when the Cossie owner locked his keys in the car!!
As for my figures, well, to say I'm happy is an understatement! In all honesty I was hoping for somewhere close to 330, and only in my wildest dreams did I actually think I'll break the 350 barrier. It's just a shame my torque was lower than expected, but when I only hit 1.1 bar (mapped for 1.3) on the rollers this is to be expected.
As for the comment made by Tim, mate you are not wrong!!! The spec of the car is very similar to Tim's (before his new exhaust ) and if it hadn't have been for him showing me what a 350bhp car felt like then I wouldn't have gone down this route. One main difference to Tim though his he's using the Link, as are most of he top runners, but I wanted to be different and use the Ecutek software. Although it takes longer for Bob to map it, I felt it was a good route to try for various reasons.
A big thanks also goes to Bob Rawle for managing to fit me in for a mapping session of my car at such short notice, and also for it being on a Sunday.
Toby, how do you feel about your results?

Maffa, the cossie had the clifford 300 same as mine. If the keys are in the ignition, as soon as you shut the door, it auto locks the car and when you turn off the car and take the keys out, it unlocks. Locked my keys in there at first cause didnt know about this but luckily i was at home so just went upstairs and got the other set
The blue smoke, about it was idling problems. Its fine when driving but if he leaves it there for a while, thats what happens. All sccobs oil temperature was around 46 - 50 where his was 86!!!
He was a top bloke though and hats off to him for showing up

ScoobyK,
The actual spec. of the car is:-
3" Hayward and Scott D/pipe
HKS Hiper
HKS FMIC
HKS Headers
MD304 Turbo (sourced from Lateral Performance)
550cc injectors
Uprated Fuel Pump
Custom Up-Pipe (Tim W special )
Samco Intake Hose
Tek3 Custom Map
Thanks must also go to Len at Subaru 4 You as he fitted most of the above bits. Don't ask him about the intake hose though, as this was a right b!tch to fit!

Maffa,
Thanks for the day also.
I've been having a searching on Scoobynet to try and find out why my Sti7 would be detting at 5000 rpm. I'm taking the car to the garage Monday and let them sort it out. A few people on here said that it could be the fuel pump as I feel that it was doing it before the PPP.
As for the Cossie. Talking to the owner at the end, he thinks it maybe the valve stems. He knows it going to be expensive
Gareth
Ps. I was really impressed with Graham's Legacy getting 320 bhp. That's a real "Q" car

Nice one XT Almost didn't recognise my car on the rollers as it looks almost black in the photo. I then noticed the un-polished wet look of it

Would I be right in thinking that my ECU mod was in 2 of the cars run on the day.
If so, MAFFA... you have something very different on your car somewhere as Huxley has the same ECU map.
But then yours did run big BHP last time, when standard ????
Both had 260ft/lb of torque tho' so I'm dead chuffed with that...who needs a PE Phase 1 when £60 gives these results eh!

Scott,
Mine was running 297BHP & 260lb/ft torque before the re-map with the full scoobymania system & K&N induction kit although the boost line on the chart was a lot more eratic. Now with the re-map the boost is a lot smoother & holds nicely at 15.5psi so it's a lot quicker The only difference is the loss through "drag" which has increased, but I put that down to running 18's that are a lot heavier than te STI 16's that I had on last time.
I may need to have a word with you though Scott as it's slightly detting (not much) at the top end. If my uprated fuel pump doesn't fix it when I put it in shortly then I may need the ignition adjusting at the top end slightly. We shall see
Cheers
