OK, earley retreat isn;t too bad, just probably to be avoided on a Friday or Saturday night,
if looking for a nice pub with big car park, then will probably have to go outside reading itself.
Could try the shire horse on the A4 at littlewick green, nice pub, good food, big car park, or the george at loddon bridge, again nice pub, food, reasonable car park (it is next door to showcase cinemas) or go out to mapledurham where there are a couple of really nice pubs on the aptly named "13 bends of death"!!!

I'd be up for a quick beer and some grub.
The George sounds good - it's my local (as long as it's not underwater!). Any pub along A4 nr Reading-Maidenhead sounds good too. I'd be happy with either.

Hopefully it'll stop raining as the George's car park is half under water at the moment! Feel sorry for the red Cavalier in the cinema car park though..... no wait, it's a vauxhall.... I don't feel sorry at all!

Wellington Arms? Exactly what I was thinking
A Basingstoke meet was being suggested there on another thread, so this could be a good opportunity to get the whole lot together. Only problem was that meet was planned for a Sunday as it was possible the front car park could be "reserved" for scoobs
I might even have to clean my car for that
