Can anyone tell me when the next SW meet will be ? Stephen Done (ECUTEK) would like to come along and show his fancy software and ECU technology to us all. I thought you'd all be up for that ??

Cheers Phill C

PS My delta dash should be here today

next time i see the beast there i'll pop in m8

I pretty much live around the corner from p1face (steveb) yet he's hardly ever about driving it, i see yours more than his, and the other P1 floating about...

i'd have to say pretty pissed off with Tiley's - currently thinking of completely not doing the dealer servicing crap (i.e. www.subaru4u.co.uk/www.scoobysport.co.uk for servicing etc..)

car goes in (front brake is squiling):

i wait in reception.
told new pads r required
i ask how much
they say 90quid pads - 40quid labour
i think about it and say ok.
car goes out for a test drive
car comes back
car goes in warehouse
car is revved to redline about 5 times (i can hear it above the cleaner woman hovering in front of me.. )
car goes back out for another test drive
1hr passes
job done
bill = 179quid

(98quid for pads - 48quid for labour all +VAT and no SIDC discount for anything..)

ok - now the service was ok (tad slow), pads cost bearable (although I proberbably could get better magtex ones cheaper).. but the labour cost is silly and the lets rev the engine loads to test the front brake isn't washing...

Cheers Phill C

I bought a car from Tiley just to run round in while looking for another performance type motor. Bought another car and asked Tiley’s if they would service it for me. They seemed to love that. I asked them to buy back the car I had from them at half the price I paid. (Only had the thing a month paid £4000.) Salesman said as usual have to ask Nick (owner). Never got back to me even though I phoned them again was told have not seen Nick yet. So they lost another customer who has had 5 cars from them. 2 UK Impreza’s, 1 P1, an Outback H6, and a Scorpio to run round in. Would have had another scoob from them when the new model comes out but not now.

phil i explictly asked for sidc discount - they said and i quote:

"it only applys to servicing..."

then again they never refended me the discount from the last service although i've phoned and told them twice on the day ... I think i'll either goto Listers or not bother with dealer stuff.. as your mate steve does a better job, and i'd rather give him monies to look after it than be worried about a poxy warranty that when push comes to shove they (like most companies) won't honour until you take it all the way till watchdog, costing and wasting loads of my time and theirs... for the extra money it all costs for those poxy a4 sheets printed onto with an epson fx-180 dot matrix printer and a crappy rubber stamp, i'm feeling it aint worth the hassle...

grumpy SnowCrash rant off

Thumbs down

Snowcrash did you honestly let them change your brake pads! They're the easyest pads i've ever changed take about 15 mins. Next time speak to me or Webster.

yeah - i am a lazy ******* - but 40quid i thought was pricey - but +VAT (which they didn't mention) - i must of stood there with a pissed off look, not like i can say - take em off, wait for another hour, they drive it around, rev it up some more, take pads off, drive it around, and charge me the labour money x2
