Eastbourne Meet - Sat 8th June
#1
Sorry I could not join you on sat as I was away. Has anything been decided for the next meet? If we are continuing on the 2nd sat the 13th July is good as a mate with a red my96 should be down.

Tony, Hi, and welcome. It's probably a little early, however, I'd been be keen to get a provisional date in the diary - Also, I'd like to be selfish as I can't make the 13th, and would propose Saturday 20th.......anyone else ????

Hi Guys
Festival of Speed is on the weekend of the 13/14th, so I too would prefer the 20th - allows an extra week for polishing the wheels too!
Just a thought - are we going to have the meet as a meet only - with focus on cars and food - and arrange separate evening entertainment, such as bowling? The meet seems to take up the whole time, especially if we have guests along.
Any thoughts welcome.

Scott: Evening meets sound like a very good idea during the light summer months. Who's up for a mid week evening meet, say, second week July? If there's interest, I'll start a thread!

I keeping mine factory std, I was shocked at how much it would cost to put on std 15" impreza alloys, they did not like the excuse that braking distances would be reduced either
just had a look on the jap site andseen what I may pick up in a few years. the gt30 looks good with the h6 block, also the gtb-limited. why cant they turbo the h6??

I know I have yet to make it along, but after talking with 555Marcus (STI 7 PD) I think the early evening Sat meet is a good idea. It means you can do the shopping or spend time with the wife and kids and still have a meet.
Midday meets tend to cut the day in half!!!
If you were to make it the 20th I recon I'd be there. It's difficult to do the Eastbourne and Surrey meets on the same weekend. I'd never get anything done!!!
Iain.

Anthony,
Wait till you can change insurance co. or try telling them they are std Subaru wheels and you would accept them replacing them with the std fit wheels you already have!!! Don't even mention they may improve the performance (braking or otherwise).
If they have to know why you want to change tell them you've buckled one and a friend has these going cheap. (It may work, but I'm no expert)

20th sounds good to me.
Evening meets seem like a good idea especially considering the weather on the last.
Thats if I can be bothered to come home.
Quick got to dash before Claire catches me on here.
Nathan..

Keith, can't condone this behaviour or even been seen to be responding to such a sexist post....but it's a good point and unless Dave tells us otherwise, I guess you must be right
