Arb advice... how close is to close
Ok so having previously bought arbs and not been able to fit it due to been the wrong fitment, I've been on the lookout for another set up which I bought a few days ago....
Now I've only fitted the rear, when I compared the oe bar and the new whiteline bar I found the oe bar to be a cupple of inches longer but set about trying to fit it..
Cut a long story short the arb seems to fit all apart from how close it is to fuel filler neck... the neck itself has a protective plastic as you will see the arb is rubbing against this although when u push on the plastic there is arount 5-6mm gap inside between the outta plastic and the filler pipe itself I just wondering how far the arb is likely to move.
Pls see pics below

I had the standard oe arb which fits fine, I think it's the lateral arm that the drop link fits to but mine is different to most where at most people have a slot that there droplink goes into
Mine just a plate that it bolts through, I will get a pic below so people can see,,,
I bought a previous whiteline arbs some months ago and the shape of it just didn't fit I couldn't even get it fitted with this one due to the arb been shorter I have had to move the droplinks to the inside of the plate as oppose to the outside...
I really want to uprade the front and rear arbs but cannot seem to find the correct size...
Sub is a 03 Jdm spec c... ( Motorsport version so came with nothing )

Yes, I'm sure arm bracket is supposed to be at bottom? What car is it?
Edit, looking again, you have wrong arb link for them lateral arms, you need the shorter rose link type link and not the C shape one imo.
The arm has a proper housing if the C links are used.
You need these types imo

If I'm honest I really cannot remember the original link type, them c shape have been fitted a while in conjunction with the oe arb.
Ok.... so what are we saying that the lateral arm is the correct way around I just need to change the links ? I'm thinking that won't change the position of that the arb and the filler neck issue though

I'm racking my brain trying to remember what was original fitted on the rear but got the life of me cannot remember...
I no 100% I had the rose type on the front so I bought aftermarket whiteline links for the front to keep it the same... but as said I really cannot rememver if they was c shape plastic or the rose type on the rear as well

Just a thought, would it be possible to change the lateral arms to say the ones that go under as apose to the current ones which sit on top, was looking at the whiteline ones, ideally don't want adjustable though just a little unsure what to do right now...
The oe anti roll bar is about 2" longer than the whiteline one in the pictures but this new bar should fit without question I'm thinking change the lateral arms to suit ?

Ok, after speaking with Richard at Fb I'm pulling the anti roll bars and drop links...as some of u have said I think I need the rose type links and the arbs seem to be the wrong type for my model as it seems there are a few different variations that I was unaware of, I believed that bug and blob fitment would be the same but as it turns out there are two veriations.
Back to the drawing board ! :/

Yes you can change arms to bottom ones if wanted.
I can't see how bug and blob differ tbh, the drop links are kind of floating anyway so the rose links adjust to suit. Only the widetrack on are different.
The difference in length you say maybe just branded items that are not to the exact length and I doubt other brand are to the exact miller meter.

Sorry, but no, I never ever changed my arb before and I don't know, which exact arb wil fit your car. I only fitted a new droplink on my car, as the old one was bend.
So take this more a guess, it's just my 2 cents:
Imo you've got both the wrong droplinks and arb for your car.
The c-droplinks are only for lateral links with the fitting point under the lateral link. The c-shape ist just to go around the link, as it obviously can't go straight through it.
Your fitting point for the droplink is obove the lataral link therefor you'll need the straight uniball-type droplinks. No need to change/swap the lateral arms.
Imo you'll need a wider arb the get clearance to the filler pipe and you need droplinks like those: http://scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/pro...oducts_id=4286
They should be fitted with the bolts pointing to the middle of the car to get maximum clearance. That's how they are fitted originally anyway.

Yes agreed, I have the oe arb off at present so going to give whiteline
A direct call tomorrow morning, unfortunately I seem to have a slightly
Different arb to most but hopefully they can help me out with both new arbs and link
The one I've just fitted is obviously to short and the link are not correct so will be sorted
Tomorrow
Will update as I go

So... been dealing with Alyn at as performance who informed me there are specific arbs for the spec c's .... well they arrived this morning and fitted straight away... both the front and the rear were a brilliant fit... not close to fuel filler kneck or the hard brake line as they previously were with the wrong set up on the rear, the fronts have the high caster arms taken in to consideration as well and fit spot on.
I've also fitted the correct droplinks to suit
Finally happy

Hi Alyn, Big thanks for all your help over last week, taking the time to look over the numerious emails and speaking with me on a number of occasions to make sure I got the correct arbs set up for the spec c.
As said I have been through quite a few different set ups prior to speaking with you and you got it spot on at the first go...
All fitted on the day they was received and everything fits absolutely spot on
Thanks again
