I knew I should have bought £5k worth when I last posted. I even went as far as registering on a bitcoin buying/selling website but bailed.

It's super risky though. It only owes me £158 so I can joke about it but £4,000 that's not fun to lose.

Risk outweighs the gains, massively.

It is risky I agree. But so far the gains are enormous matching the risk.

$1700 today, can't say that the risk is more than that gain.

Its one day! no long term benefits, risk will always be huge.

Could drop to $500 next week/month, no gain there.

Doesn't that apply to anything, even the mighty Apple with a market cap of 800 billion could fall tomorrow.

And saying it's one day is a bit rich, it's been climbing for months. You could have bought at £1000 at the start of this thread and made a lot of money.

Not really, one of my S&S ISA makes £3-4K every 6mnths over just 3 years now. It is from a work scheme/funds though, so reaping the benefits from the inside knowledge there.

That fund has been steady, but not brilliant. I have to move a really **** one very soon, will look at the American one.

That was $85,000 last time I looked, peanuts. I thought it would make more but slow burners are best.
