Litchfield type 25
Had a look on just about every site and forum, can't seem to see any for sale. Just very limited numbers or owners just keep them for a longtime ? Not many videos on YouTube either.
Ok, so a few users online here. Good to know. I have a deposit on one at the moment, but it's taken 7 plus weeks so far to get sorted. Another 1 or 2 to collect , if I don't buy something else in the meantime

I was slightly dubious for the same reason.
Iain is pretty hard to get hold of (especially if it's about Subaru's!) but worth a call anyway. I'd expect if all you were asking was if any UK base models were used for T25's that would be easy enough to answer.
They may not give any info about individual cars but you have nothing to lose so well worth a call!

Your VIN plate is very similar to mine, which implies that it is a JDM. I was thrown by the "2.5" plate as no JDM car came with that engine. Does the car have a rear windscreen wiper (I'm assuming it's not a Spec C)?
VIN with GDB is confirmed as JDM
It has a rear wiper and is not a spec C, water bottles under the bonnet
I have the original receipt from litchfield for the car wirh a mk1 2.5 and for the mk2 rebuilt in 2012, American spec 2.5 block.

The Forester STI and Legacy S402 models have the JDM 2.5 block.
I have #22. If you have the mk2 short block, you'll be able to see the red engine build plate under the right hand side of the intercooler (assuming it still has a top mount).
Something like Cosworth SB #####. Cosworth USA built a few hundred of them.
Not sure what to look for if you have the Cosworth heads as well.

Yes, it started life as a daily driver by someone who used it as a rally rec car on the continent. Big spotlights on the front bumper (since replaced to get rid of the screws left after removal of the lights).
Next owner had issues with a blown MD555 turbo and discovered someone had dropped in forged pistons. It sounded a bit like a diesel taxi at startup.
When I got it, I was a bit concerned at the oil consumption, though it was still sound to drive, and got it rebuilt with the US Cosworth short block, plus 800cc injectors and LM450, recently serviced with bronze bearing carrier and billet wheel.
It's been pampered ever since, can't see anything suitable to replace it with, as I doubt it'll be worth much to anyone who doesn't know what it is.
Does anyone know if Jenny Litchfield kept the list of what Type-25s are still in existence?

I doubt Litchfield's have any information on T25s these days, they've moved on to greater things.
