You would be fine with 800cc injectors at that power level that you are thinking about, you have not specified rotated or standard position so if it is a standard position turbo a MDX series turbo or a SC billet variant would be my choice or if it's for a rotated set up a GT30 billet would be my choice.SJ.

I've not long had a 2.1 fitted and I've got the sc46 turbo. Will be going for mapping next Thursday but hoping for 450-460 on a vpower map and hopefully near 500 on a meth map. I went for the id1000 injectors just in case I wanted to push it more in the future.

It all depends what you want from the car and what your budget is. I have had a good few turbo's on my car including an SC GT3076 it is a very good turbo but is not in the same league in terms of spool and top end power as the Owen Developments turbo's. The standars portion Owen turbo's have been proven in a good number of sprint cars as well as the rotated items. I have a custom M spec GT30 which spools like you would not believe.

Yes it's a new turbo. The old version of the new billet gt3076. So this is the non billet version. Standard position and will bolt straight on. You get a new fitting kit which is supplied

Surprised no one has mentioned the precision turbo. Garunteed to make you figure with good spool to boot.

I've seen a lot of sc46 hardly make 460 tbh, some make good number yeah but not often, especially coupled with the smaller engine that it was designed for. Was designed for a 2.5, but again I've seen decent spool on the 2.1 but again not sure if the drive is great.

Also I'd look at the mdx321V and I believe there is also a motorsport version which will make 500+ easy but not seen one yet to confirm, mario is having his fitted soon so looking forward to his results

I can't confirm but I know the older units had a housing fault which caused it to crack the housings, think the newer ones have been rectified.

That does look like a fresh one with the black front, think it was the older ones.
Tbh imo only, the more I searched on the 2.0 sc46, non of them really superseded the 460 marker and if they did it was with meth or high boost with lag also, even 'some' of the 2.1s hardly got there without extras, but there is a small handful that have made decent figures, suppose all engines are different to one another.
You fitted yours etc and running? Just map to do?

yeah got it middle of Last year.on my old 2.0 engine it made 421 with 1.75 bar and full boost at 4K. I'm in on Thursday for a new map on my 2.1 engine now. There was a few weak links before that I've changed so hopefully it will be decent now. The 421 map was with standard recirc valve and think the diaphragm was passing I got a hks now, cat back reduced to 2.5 on the boss to downpipe so changed to revolution 3". Also gone for a hard intake pipe with a rcm induction kit instead of the Perrin foam one. Just done the surefire coils too so hopefully ironed out all the weak bits. I had the supertech valve train done on the engine too. Il post a graph once it's done

Cool, look forward to it, but imo don't get your hopes up, set yourself lower to avoid diss appointment and then when you do make more that will be more thrilling. Trust me I was upset when mine didn't make target figure, but then again found out eventually I had warped a head that just showed up more as time went on, after all the tweaking I did to address stuff. (So my escaping combustion lost me a bit of hp).
Now I'm aiming lower and expect more

Indeed I am - Mapping 2nd March on a Lateral MDX321V+ ....hoping to ease into the 500's comfortably...but we'll see if that happens!

I have a Turbo Dynamics MDX555-450 on my current build (2.5) and it made 474bhp & 483 ft/lb - the Lateral MDX321T would make similar power.

The Precision Turbos are a very good shout too - couple of the guys up here have them and on a 2.1 stroker made 472bhp

Yes 2.5 CDB with 14mm Headstud conversion Corky

MDX555-450 made 474bhp & 483 ft/lb @ 1.65 bar (on my 2.5)

My friend's 2.1 stroker made 471bhp & 415 ft/lb @ 1.65 bar with the Precision Turbo

This is the Precision Turbo he has:
