Default Alarm chirp when starting the car

Recently when I start my bugeye up the alarm chirps once just before the engine starts up?? Has anyone heard of this before? Could I be a warning that the keys battery is getting low or maybe the car battery itself?

The alarm is the standard Subaru sigma setup with key pad.

Car battery is getting low. Mine did it for two winters, during the cold times. It finally died on Boxing Day, luckily I was parked in front of the Halfords!

Where is a good place to get one that doesn't cost the earth? Have found one online that £55 inc vat and delivery which seems a good price?

About £65 for the Halfords calcium once with a 4-year warranty (Trade)

That's the one I've had for the past 5-6 years and only dies when the car doesn't move for 3-4 weeks depending upon the temp

Sounds good. Give the car a good blast up to Aylesbury and back yesterday so will see how it goes.
