Default 2004 wrx standard alarm
Quick question.. should the alarm chip or make a noise when you arm/disarm? mine doesnt make any noise unless i try and arm with a door open

No mate it doesn't. You can turn the feature on if you get the sigma programming table off google. Think the alarm is an m30.
