2005 Wrx Alarm fob dead
Hi,
standard Subaru key fob has died, worked one minute while loading the boot, locked the car whilst dropping the trolley back and could not open the car
The battery has been replaced but still dead, do you need to do anything to the fob when you install a new battery to re learn itself (like the sky remotes)?
If it is knackered what is the cheapest route, I can imaging factory prices to be quite high?
Any help gratefully recieved

They are only around 32 quid new from the dealers, but usually available on here and ebay for 15-20 quid. You can code them yourself, if know your PIN number, or have another working fob.
Yes easy. There are guides on here, just search "programming fob".
Do it soon, just to change your PIN, as thats what you'll need to do first with the working fob, before you can code a new one.
