Default Better than a steering wheel lock.

Just get a quick release hub from ebay. They're about 40 quid.

Can't steal a car with no wheel

unless they buy a hub themselves and have a spare steering wheel,
If the hubs were more individual it would be better, it wont take long before the car thieves click on and catch up.

There's always that. But I always say you're not trying to outrun the bear you're trying to outrun the other guy. Professional thieves will always be able to steal a car but this method would stop a vast majority of joy riders.

More effective than a lock I feel because I'm sure if they can lockpick the car door they can lockpick the wheel lock.

To be fair if they have the foresight to bring a hub and wheel they deserve to get the car still better than a wheel lock and the quality QR hubs have fascia locks.

I got one after some piece of **** tried to take my car last year.
They didnt manage to get it due to a decent immobiliser.
As far as I'm concerned if they are prepared to bring a steering wheel with them & try to overcome the immo they are ferkin welcome to it.

mate of mine has an e46 m3 and bought a snap off steering wheel - then he got fed up looking like a *** having to take the wheel with him everywhere so he had a decent sized hasp welded into the wheel well and he chains the steering wheel up to that with an oxford bike chain
