Default MY00 sigma keypad flashing at me.

Help. I have tried doing a keypad code reset, which just didn't seem to work and tried 3 times, i.e the much publisized *17856*92*wxyzz*wxyz#. And I've now got a horrible feeling the keypad has now locked me out, as I constantly get a flashing LED all the time.

Is there a reset so I can attempt a keypad code change again ?.

I have the key and the fob so I can use the car. Just trying to get the keypad to work for when I park in areas of transmitter infefferance which seems all too common at the moment.

Thanks

You will be locked out for about 10 - 20 mins

I think its got itself into a right pickle now. I either get the LED flashing fast all the time on the keypad, or the keypad is just dead and does nothing when you press a button.

Is there a way to do a reset on the alarm. ?

I'm now fairly convinced that the keypad is knackered and think one or several of the buttons are in constant contact which keeps making it flash fast and then some time lock out.

In which case another question would be can the keypads be taken apart and contacts cleaned up? . Alternatively can just the keypad be replaced and what is involved in doing so. ?.

Cheers
