Default Sigma Car alarm

Hi

I have a Sigma alarm (sorry I cant find the model type) fitted to a Rover 220 Gti, it has an alarm unit fitted under the bonnet and a keypad fitted on the windscreen. I have 2 remote control key fobs.

I have a problem with the central door locking where if I use the fobs to set the alarm normally it locks the doors as well, but recently it has stopped locking them. I have checked the servo motor from inside the door panel, directly on the battery and it works fine, I have checked the voltage to the motor and it is barely getting 11 volts when I operate the key fob. This is pointing to a bad set of connections somewhere or a fault with the unit itself?

That is my question I don't know where the unit is and don't even know what it looks like, would anyone be able to tell me where I might find it and describe what it looks like or send me a picture?

Hope you can help.

Cheers.

Derek
