Which Cat 1 alarms are considered the best?
The Clifford Concept 500 sounds very good, perticulary the Blackjax and "Step away from the vehicle" features, but it's a bit pricey.
Are there alternatives with similar features but for less cash, or is it a matter of saving the pennies for the Clifford?
Thanks,
Scoobyster

PS. I know the install is important, will think about that once I've decided what I want.

CLIFFORD is the best, if you want the gimmicks.

Are there any alternatives that offer similar features to the Cliffords then? I've heard good things about Cobra systems (on here), is there a good website explaining the models etc?

We had loads of trouble with an alarm when we got a cheap one...then we got a Clifford 500 - it's great! Definatly worth the money, and no hasstles as well as being incredably easy to use and alter yourself...

After all - the Scoob's are worth a fair bit of money themselves..

Wink

Would go for the 600, but make sure that the dealer is well known for doing good installations on cliffords as some are rather pathetic and it will cause more hassle than anything.
Great alarm system thou, next doors car in garage and attempted theft, my scoob on path and left alone
