Trakker test
HI, had my trakker tested ealier today but because the car had not been used for 24hrs i had to go and start it up for them to test it, it all tested ok, but i realised later on ,what if i went on hols for a few days and it got trailered away or it got taken and not reported for a few days, does this mean they would not find it ! can anyone out there explain this ? Cheers Rob.

HI, its the one fitted to the blobeye sti 2003, Trackstar , thats good service from your lot, i just wondered why they could'nt test "as is" to replicate real world , and i had to start it for a moment for them to test it ? as i said if i'd been away a couple of days and it ended up in someones lockup i would'nt be able to start it .

they couldnt test it because it was in sleep mode. if the car had been lifted or towed, the movement sensor would wake the unit up and send an alert to trackstar hq.
Switching on the ignition is just an easy way of waking the unit up..
Smartrack, trackstar etc.. do suffer from 1 problem though.. a simple gps or gsm blocker will render them useless.
Only TRACKER products are not defeated by this method.
