Clifford Trouble
#1
My Clifford Concept 50x fell strangley quiet last week - doors lock, indicators flash etc.. just no sound.
Had a dig around at the weekend and the siren circuit board, and the three wires connected to it, have burnt out inside the siren.......
So, is it screwed or can I get a new siren??? Having a very silent alarm on the scoob is worrying to say the least...

Have a look at the EVO website,www.evo.co.uk (general forum) Seems like cliffords can go wrong a lot!
Thats my reservation with blackjax on top of the scooby sigma system and my tracker, if it starts playing up it could be a nightmare to rectify.
Any thoughts?

I had a Clifford on an Integrale once and it was a bit troublesome , but I've had the Blackjax on my last 3 cars ,and it's never been a problem ,and all the alarms have been different ie.BMW , Scorpion and Sigma .

Clifford sirens and remote controls are only under waranty for a year.
The Concept 50X was discontinued about 2 years ago so your'll have to pay to have a new siren fitted. If it's shorted anything within the alarm it'self, (unlikely) that is covered by a lifetime warranty so shouldn't cost you anything to repair.
Take it to the dealer that fitted it and see what they say.

As i posted on the evo forum (TB) the installation is mainly to blame for most faults, but sirens do go wrong on any alarm and your system being quite old probably justs needs a quick check over as all alarms should be, sirens shouldnt cost you that much and if you get the horn attached to it too it makes even more noise
