Exclamation

A friend took her car to bluewater a couple of days ago to see oceans eleven..
it was a late showing at 9:45 i beleive.
Her car was fitted with a catergory 1 alarm and was deadlocked.
she said there were many other cars parked in the same place & she felt that the car was protected in the bluewater enviroment.
because there were loads of people about and she pressumed that lots of cameras were there .

After the film was over she came out the cinema to find her car alarm screaming ! & her passenger side window smashed & her pioneer dolphin stereo & remote were gone !

BLUEWATER security were near her car walking up and down setting off the alarm's ultrasonics & had been there for 20mins doing this!.
they said, "there were four youth's involved in the theft" & "they had robbed 5 other cars too!" they made their getaway in a burgundy estate car".

They had done the car infront of her's and one to the left of her's.
the car in front was a small fiat and it had been keyed all round. the door lock was also hanging out of the door.
the stereo and multichanger had been removed with the correct tools.
the car to the left had also been keyed but the owner was there and so were his stereo/multi , amps , subs etc
(I guess he got lucky).

Apparently the thiefs are well known by bluewater security and they hit the carparks on a regular basis!!!!!

(IS THIS OK ? ? , OR DO YOU THINK THAT SOMETHING IS'NT RIGHT ??)

(please feel free to comment).

I said to the person involved what about security cameras ??
she said that she had asked bluewater security that & they said "there are a few security cameras in the carparks", "but they are hidden",& they are not in this part of the carpark.

( OK )
So the best place to put cameras is not over by the cinema car park?
I mean people come here to the cinema late at night and they are away from their vehicles for a few hours atleast.

so where are the other cameras ?

bluewater security said " we cant comment"

"but we can vacumm out your car so that you can drive home".

later that same evening autoglass turned up at 3am and replaced the side window with a piece of plastic , cause they didnt have the correct door glass in stock.
£50.00 excess to pay out! and 7 years no claims lost! if you claim for the damage to the door and the loss of the stereo!

(SO BEWARE IF YOU ARE GOING TO LEAVE YOUR SCOOBY AT BLUEWATER)

That's really poo.

(But some good news... you shouldn't lose your NCB for a glass claim.)

Shocking....
Bluewater is suppose to have one of the best security systems in England?? They've bangged on in the past that you car drive a stolen car in and the police will be waiting for you when you return to it.
I've always thougth it to be safe but may need a re-think.

This does not sound good.

I frequent BW quite a bit and have never had a problem.

from what I recall of the secuirty they photo your numberplate on entry so they do know what cars are in there.

if BE secuirty know about the individuals then what the bloody hell are they doing about it! Where are the fecking police?

If you go shoplifting there, not that I do, or would, you get nailed very hard. Would seem again like the motorist losing out.

whereabouts did your freind park? which carpark? what level?

personally i'd go back there and go to the management suite and ask to speak to the manager of bluewater about what they are going to do about this, especially as the security team are aware of the scum, this should be mentioned to the manager. Probably won't help any, but it's worth a shot.
