Cloning alarm key fobs

Anyone know of a company that can clone an alram fob? My Mum's got an after market alarm on her Golf (company now out of business) and one of the fobs has just broken (so she's only got one left) - I'm hoping to be able to clone the existing fob, rather than have to replace the whole alarm system - anyone any ideas?

Close examination has revealed that.... all it required was a new battery! Thanks for replies.
