Question

This has probably been asked before (sorry if that is the case). I collect my new WRX next week and I'm wondering what security system is fitted as standard (I know it's CAT1) and what sort of quality I can expect? My current 'Scoob' had a 50X fitted after I got the car and it has been fantastic, I'm just hoping that there will be a similar quality unit in the new car.

Any links to manufacturer of the unit would also be useful.

Thanks

As you've been happy with your Clifford in the past, why not have another one installed? The 50X has been obsolete for the best part of three years and was replaced with the Concept 500 at the same price. It does everything the old 50X did, just even more slickly, plus most importantly it has the BlackJax anti-hijacking/stolen key protection system built in. Check out the Clifford dealer list at www.clifford.co.uk, then cross reference the dealers with a list of VSIB accredited installers at www.vsib.co.uk to make sure they are fully accredited.

Thumbs up

The standard alarm if it is a UK car is a Sigma M30. Does exactly what an alarm should do but that about it.

I had a Concept 500 fitted by Huets in Hove. Top quality job and VSIB registered. No complaints from me.
