Viper 480 Turbo timer feature?!?!?
Hi all,
I have a Viper 480xv alarm system fitted and I would like to find out how you connect up the turbo timer function?
I beileve this function to be the channel 3 output on the alarm which from the manual states...
"A 30 (60, 90) second timed output will send a signal for 30 seconds when Channel 3 is pressed.
This output can be turned off during the 30-second period by pressing Channel 3 again"
I believe this is what im after but do i connect this to a relay or what?
The wire i need to connect to something is this one...
"H1/9 WHITE/BLUE 200 mA (-) channel output 3
This wire provides a (-) 200 mA output whenever the transmitter button(s) controlling Channel 3 is pressed."
If anyone knows it would be much appreciated?
Many Thanks

you can do it the old fashioned way with a relay but if you're going to go to the trouble of that why not have the convenience of remote start too??
most shops will charge about £80 to wire the relay in place when for £150 you can have it starting too

it is easy done with a 5 pin relay on the timed output of the alarm if you go this route make sure they wire the neg on the relay via the neg of the handbrake. this will make sure a that the car should not go anywhere and b if someone sees it running jumps in and puts the handbrake down the car will stop. this is one way we used to fit it in cliffords. just test it has been fitted this way before you take the car away from the dealer.
