hi, i am going to have a look at a 03sti that has been stolen recovered and there is no keys to the car, would the car have a immobiliser as standard? if so would it be built directly into the ecu? or would it be separate to the ecu? also what circuits would be immobilised? thanks.

it depends if it is a uk car or a jap import. UK cars will be fitted with a sigma system but jap cars may have anything or nothing.

get it removed and fit something else. any capable installer should be able to strip it without any problems
