Viper 480xv
Hi,
wanting to fit a tilt sensor, have the viper 480xv alarm, saw this on ebay,
DIGITAL TILT SENSOR FOR CLIFFORD / VIPER / HORNET ALARM on eBay, also Car Alarms Immobilisers, Security Electrical, Car Accessories, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 24-Dec-08 10:13:55 GMT)
how are they fitted and can i do it or does it need to be an alarm dude ?
also,if i wanted to fit a backup battery how would i do this, if the alarm is triggered, removing the battery terminal stops the audio of the alarm,i thought it should still keep going,it does if the battery lead is re-attached but that doesnt help if they wanna rummage about in it not drive off in it without the backup battery for the siren ??
cheers

It will need to be fitted by an installer unfortunately. The alarm needs programmed so that it knows which sensor is attached. This is mainly due to the pager as it needs to be sent the correct signal if the sensor triggers the alarm.
The siren should sound if the battery is disconnected but it will only sound if it disconnected when the alarm is fully active.
