Default Alarm/Immobiliser Question

Recently my alarm system went bye bye on my scooby it was the factory system, the alarm was removed and when it was the misfire i had was gone.

Just had my new Sigma alarm/immobiliser fitted today and would you know my misfire is back. What i'm wanting to know is what does the alarm system hook up to on the car? i.e.fuel pump?

Hope someone understands what i'm trying to ask

Cheers.

it all depends on the person who installed it to be honest. But there is a good chance that it is linked into both the ignition and the fuel pump circuits.

No problem. Glad to help..

The only thing i can think that it might be, but its a long shot, is a bad connection or solder where the alarm has been fitted. It's kinda strange that the fault has returned since the alarm was refitted although it could be pure coincidence but its worth getting it checked out by the installer.
