Default Recommendations for an alarm

Hi All,

I've recently purchased an import 1996 Legacy GT Twin Turbo Estate. Having had a 1992 turbo stolen about 18 months ago, I want to get a Thatcham Cat 1 standard fitted.

Can anybody recommend one? I'm prepared to spend up to about £400.

Thanks in advance.

Mark

P.S. I'm not trying to start a flame war!

Hi

Go for the Clifford Concewpt 650 MKII or the viper 480 Xv. The clifford will come with Blackjax and Warnaway. The Viper comes with a LCD Pager. Both can have a turbo timer of the alarm. You can get both for around that mark, just do a search on the net

Hi Raf,

Thanks for that. I've been looking on the net and those were the two options I had pretty much decided on anyway, altough I'm not too clear yet on the differences.

Cheers

Mark

The main difference between the two systems is that the vipr comes with an LCD pager and the clifford comes with blackjax anti-hijack.

Viper also comes with VRS. Similar to blackjax but not quite as hard to live with.

Best alarm is the Avantguard 5.5. It's the first and only cat 1 approved alarm that comes with remote start.

Thanks Jesus, I'm leaning toward the Avantguard because of the remote start.
