Default RACTrackstar / Tracker Monitor

I've finally traded my MY02 GX 2.0 in for a MY07 WRX

Due to insurance quotes, I've decided on installing either a RACTrackstar or a Tracker Monitor.
Doesn't seem to be much between those two except for the 'Duration of ownership' subscriptions.

Can we still get true duration of ownership subscriptions or are they pegged at 5 years? ty

I've seen installers still quoting 'life' for the Tracker installs but believe that 3yrs is now the longest duration

Thanks for the feedback.
I think that duration of ownership price makes Trackstar the best value.

Hmm! Some Tracker Monitor resellers say "Annual subscription £125 per year or £350 duration of ownership".

We have to call Tracker post-install to sort out subscription so there's no chance of getting a "£350 duration of ownership" deal, is there? ty

You don't have to call tracker, your local dealer can sort out the lifetime subscription for you on the day.

Thanks for the feedback
I don't want a big thing bolted on my car, so I hope UKTracking.com still do their "£350 duration of ownership" deal!

Does the size of the unit matter if it is properly installed and hidden away ?
I have had my Trackstar refitted in my new 07, complete with its safespeed and E&B

Im happy with the system, and Trackstar were doing it for £289 last time I looked

You cant see the unit when its fitted so in this case size doesn't matter, if it was visible or easy to find the thief's would simply disconnect it, so location of the unit is always concealed from view and kept secret, I have rac trackstar and have had no problems hope this helps. Dan.

Default Tracker

Hi I got a Cobra tracker fitted, same price but it has European cover as standard. Apparantley worth getting as professional car thieves have started shipping cars to europe to escape most UK based trackers...

Or so the salesman told me!!
