Subaru standard fit alarm advice... has moved
OE Alarm Sam has been banned by the moderators at ScoobyNet.
Being the designer of the standard fit Subaru alarm system and working for the manufacturer, his posts in response to forum users alarm queries were deemed to be of a commercial nature, gaining brand exposure for his product and so he has been asked to cease posting alarm advice on the ScoobyNet forum, unless he became an authorised advertiser.
OE Alarm Sam has now moved to the Subaru Imprezza Driver’s Club forum where you should be able to get free technical assistance regarding the standard fit alarm system in the Strictly Technical section.

Sam has been consistently a great help to me and to scores of other scooby-dudes for years, he must have spent hours and hours of his own time patiently explaining the complexities of Subaru standard alarm systems and providing invaluable practical information. He also consistently shows a responsible attitude to the sharing of security related information, in constrast to many others you can find trawling the net. Yet I cant think of a single instance where he has promoted his own company's products.
Surely he epitomises the sprit of Scoobynet: that we should share whatever knowledge and experience we have for the benefit of others?
Lets start a petition: 'bring back Sigma Sam!'
