Question What is the best tracking device?.

Hi all, what make and model is the best tracking device to fit to my Subaru?. I'm after a device which offers value for money and to be fitted more so for peace of mind rather than insurance reasons. What sort of cost will this device amount to and where around the Cardiff area is the best place to have one fitted?.

Thank you

Norma

To be honest, they all are pretty much as good as each other. Cost wise, the best value for money would be this:

The RAC Trackstar plus from the link below looks a better buy with the years free subscriptions.

Dont bother fitting the RAC trackstar plus, they are a total waste of time. Just read a few older posts about these. I had this tracker fitted to my 04 type 20. It still got nicked with out a trace with RAC having no idea it was gone. This system goes into standby after 24 hours of your car not being started, it then takes 6 hours to repond after next start up. Thus giving the theif 6 hours to rip it out, or trash your car trying to find it. They know were to look and if not they will keep going until they do.

the new cobraTrakQ is also very good. They also do a new version called the CobraTrack Attivo that allows the owner to interact with the unit using the web. So you can see for yourself where your car is or has been and do many other things.

I've just been sent a quote for the Appello asset recovery system as they claim 98% of recoveries using their system that is backed by the home office.

It's fairly expensive but I guess you can't put a price on peace of mind eh?

Anyone use this system?
