Default Help Needed re Sigma alarm & immobiliser

Right then. I do not own a Scooby but have seen that this is the only place that can help me!!

I bought a Golf GTI MK3 with Sigma alarm and Immobilisor ( I Have NO clue what one though it does have the keypad) and the remote fob has packed in. I have changed the batteries and tried many different things but it does not work.

Now my car is immobile. Is there any way of deactivating the immobilisor? I have no clue what model the alarm is, what the keycode is or anything. Basically the car is sat down the road unable to move!!
Many Thanks

Hi there,

I see you are in a bit of a situation here and one really I cannot give you a simple solution for. Even though you do have the keyad installed on your vehicle (I presume this is the one with the star (*) and the hash (#) button and the digits 0-9 are all flush with the keyapd itself) I see you do not have the 4 digit override code. This was designed to aid people in such situations like these where the original radio kesy of which there shold be two of, have stopped working, been lost, stolen or damaged, simply by entering this code the vehicle would be useable.

I am afriad there is no user method of de-activating the immobiliser this is a job for your local alarm specialist or auto-spark, but at the same time what I would recommend is that whoever you use to sort out your problem the pin code can be retrieved even if this has been changed by the previous owner, the radio keys can be re-programmed along with additional spare ones if neccessary and the system could be up and running again. If you were to choose this option opposed to getting the system removed, the pin no would have to be retrieved by your local Sigma dealer and they would have to be mobile to get to your vehicle so if you contact Toad Sales on 0870417 7795 and select option 3 provide them with your address details state you would like to know where your local mobile Sigma dealer is, obtain the relevant contact no.s and go from there.

Hope this information helps yourself out.

Regards

Mike.

Note: The information above is based around your vehicle having an Sigma M-Series security system (I.E. A Star and a hash button on the keypad) however, if the keyapd does not have these a differeffernt method will have to be used to disarm the immobiliser and/or alarm then a programming tool which only Sigma dealers have access to will have to be used to code any exisitng and new radio keys.
