Upgrade Sigma sg20e to newer model Sigma
Hi, just wondered if it is possible to upgrade the sg20e cpu to something newer, say a m30 without doing any rewiring – i.e. do they have the same plugs and pinouts etc?
Cheers

As posted above the SG-Series (93-97),later M-series (96-04) and current S-Series units are not directly interchangeable, although the necessary inputs and outputs are obviously available at the plug, the pin layouts and connectors themselves are of different types.
Generally the AC29 unit with the SG20E is for central door locking on the SG models. It can still be used with the later M-Series systems to give full locking capabilities - these systems, like the SG20E, only have negative CDL outputs. It could also be used with the current lower spec S-Series models that only have negative CDL outputs, however the higher spec S-Series models have on-board relays to provide full locking capabilities already so would not need this.
