Hi all, just went to fit a subaru pod, on the top part of the dash and found a tracker there . Looks like its a bit of a sod to move as the wires are all over the place,

When I opened the box up I found a sim card plug in, anyone have any ideas what this is for or what it does.

Did you not know your car had a tracker? Use the sim number on the card and ring trackstar to get it live.

 

trackstar can do everything through the number plate on the car. The sim is so they can call into the unit any time and get the long and lat to get the possition of your car at any time. and did you know that they know what speed you have been doing

 

Is that the location they are usually fitted or are there many other places on the car!!!

 

but not allowed to divilge it for speeding, Privacy laws IIRC except in a criminal investigations like accidents, dangerous driving etc. then the have too and have done so


The unit can be fitted in many places but aerial in less they don't like being surrounded by metal Scum always look for the Aerials or distinctive aerial cable.
