Default VALET CODE CLIFFORD CONCEPT 50

I bought an immaculate STI v4 recently and it is fitted with a Clifford concept 50. There is only one alarm remote and I would like to get an additional remote in case I lose the existing one.

Here's the problem...... I don't have the Valet key and I have been unable to obtain any information from the previous owners.

My local Clifford dealer only wants to sell me a new alarm system for megabucks, whilst remotes come up regularly on ebay for very little. If I can somehow discover the valet key I can get an additional remote programmed to work with the existing alarm.

Does anyone know of a method of doing this without removing the alarm and returning it to Clifford?
I would be grateful if anyone could help

just a silly suggestion, but have u tried the default code ?

i had a concept 50 on a shogun i had about 5 years ago (never clifford again) but if i remember correctly it was twice on the spring loaded side then press the latched side of the switch.

I'm sure i'll be corrected if i'm wrong

Hope it helps

Tim

slap heads right about the factory set code, give it a go, otherwise find another dealer who can remove it and send it to clifford for reprograming

without the pin code your screwed as the valet mode disables eyerthing for 1 turn - have you tried activating it by the remote? - also have you no booklet as the codes on the back of it (might sound stupid) but people overlook it

Tried default code, as did local clifford dealer- no joy.

No manual with car so no clues there either!

Looks like it might be back to clifford, but without the alarm ecu I guess the car won't be going anywhere.

Still open to suggestions.

a few cars i've worked on have had the code changed but to something not too different from the standard '2'. Try things like 21, 12, 22
