Default Has anyone fitted a Clifford Boot Release ? (Classic)

Hi,

I have just bought one of these and was hoping to fit it to my Concept 600 myself. I have a wiring diagram showing which pin on to use on the control module. In the kit there is are a short black wire (ground ?) a short fused red (+ve ?) and a very long green (module ?). There's also the solonoid and a switch (for manual release inside the car I presume) both with 2 unmarked connectors .

The question is does the solonoid need it's own power or just a connection to the module ? There is no relay so I can't see how a 3 way setup would work. But I also have my doubts about whether it's right to take power straight from the module through the solonoid to earth ?

Has anyone fitted one ?

Thanks,

Andy.

You will need to add a relay.
- black wire on solenoid to a good earth
- green wire run from other teminal on solenoid to pin 87 on a relay
- pin 86 and 30 on relay to heavy live fused
- pin 85 connect to the grey/violet from the alarm (ch2 boot release output)
if you want to use that button then connect one terminal to earth and the other to pin 85 on the relay
